JET Edge has launched a waterjet intensifier pump which can increase the speed and lower the cost of metal part cutting operations.
The 75kW X-Stream xP90-100 waterjet pump produces pressures of around 6205 bar, while normal pumps can only generate 4137 bar. The company says this 50% increase in pressure corresponds with a rise in productivity.
The unit operates at a continuous pressure of 5171 bar, which according to the manufacturer, uses 30% less water, 30% less power and up to 50% less abrasive. It can also typically reduce taper by up to 0.0254mm.
The device produces flowrates of 5.49L per minute and supports an orifice up to 0.4318mm.
The product is distributed in Australia by Cridland Cutting Systems.
