ABB has released a modular system for measuring the flow rates of a variety of fluids.
The Variable Area Master FAM540 series has models available with different flow indicators and counters which suit certain media.
The company says the units also have a user-friendly text menu, a configurable switching output and a self-testing functionality.
According to the manufacturer, the device has a four button operator keypad and can be connected with temperature and pressure instruments. It also minimises the affects of vibrations, making the readings very accurate.
The flowmeter has a graphical display which allows users to adjust to changing operating conditions.
