HEDLAND has released the MR Flow Transmitter, which combines digital signal processing technology with the proven technology of a piston-type variable area flow meter.

Hedland says the MR Flow Transmitters have a solid state design, which electronically senses the movement of the magnetic piston assembly to provide accurate, repeatable flow measurement.

According to Hedland, the MR Flow Transmitters have no mechanical linkages and come pre-calibrated from the factory. Customised units are also available.

Hedland says the MR Flow Transmitters have calibration inputs including specific gravity for all fluids, viscosity for petroleum-based fluids as well as specific gravity, pressure and temperature for pneumatic systems.

According to Hedland, the MR Flow Transmitters also feature non-contact sensor electronics, a digital flow rate and total flow indication, a proportional analog output and a lower power design.
