INNERLINE Pipe is distributing information about its patented coating process for pipelines and other parts.
The company says the Australian-developed process enables steel pipes to be internally and externally lined with a non-erosive and a non-corrosive polymer respectively. A thermal polymer is also added in order to retain heat.
The business claims the external lining cannot be permeated by gases and chemicals and also improves the pipe’s resistance to impacts and shocks.
The process is also said to be an alternative to the challenging on-site pipe sleeving and external lining solutions often used at oil, gas and petrochemical facilities.
The lining is compatible with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, concrete, ceramics and timber.
